The Study Centre includes a computer facility primarily oriented towards basic word processing, web-based research, e-mail and laser printing on PC and Mac platforms. There is some support for more specialised applications where these have been made available as part of the Managed Cluster Service (MCS).

The IT Office
The IT Office in the Study Centre operates as the walk-in Laptop Clinic weekdays from 9:30 - 2pm manned by the IT Support Assistant. The IT Manager is usually in between 2 and 5pm. However, be aware the IT Staff may be elsewhere in College during part of this time so alternatively you submit a support request in the Darwin Support Ticket System or you may email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone: (3)35778.
Darwin Wireless Network
Wireless networking, including eduroam, is in operation at Darwin College, providing coverage in various parts of the main buildings and in the grounds. More information on how this works is available on the wireless network page.
Wired Network Connections in Student Rooms
All the rooms in College with the exception of the flats in Newnham have wired network connections which can be activated by connecting to the socket in the room, opening a web browser and completing the registration form.

The college computer committee meets once a term. Requests for issues to be discussed by the committee can be made to the committee chair, or via any member (including, ex-officio, the Computer Officer, the DCSA Communications Officer and the College Accountant).
